cindibigelow 300x300 150x150 Cindi Bigelow is AwesomeThe Bigelow family’s passion for tea runs deep.   60 odd years ago Cindi’s grandmother Ruth Campbell Bigelow founded the Bigelow Tea Company in 1945.  Today those who run the show are still family and include her grandson David Bigelow and granddaughter Cindi Bigelow.  Cindi Bigelow is currently serving as the president of Bigelow Tea Company.  So why do I say she’s so awesome.  Bigelow Tea has been around since 1945, and even though they are privately owned, it is safe to say they are making a good chunk of change.  This doesn’t stop Cindi from putting herself out there and connecting with the consumer.  She has videos of herself on YouTube teaching viewers how to decaffeinate teas and recently even walked around the streets of NYC asking people if they’ve tried Bigelow Teas.  When one man admits to her he drinks Bigelows green tea and is a fan, she gives him a hug and a kiss.  Honestly who does this?  Most CEOs and presidents rather leave the promotion of their company up to the marketing division in their company.  I hope other presidents and CEOs start taking notice and following in stride.  Efforts like these makes companies so much more human.
